REFUTING LAURENCE B. BROWN'S ARTICLE TITLED : Where is the “Christ” in Christianity Part 3

In my Last Post I made a Refutation to Brown's Article regarding the supposed contradictions in the Bible. I by God's Help exposed his arguments and showed that If you Just Read the Bible IN CONTEXT there are no Contradictions in the Bible.

And  as I have stated earlier I"M  making these refutation dedicated to my Good Friend Paul Williams who will not hesitate to post Articles that Attack the Bible and in conclusion prove his religion FALSE. I also want to take note that all the Muslims on Paul's blog who are nothing but liars and blasphemers will all be exposed as well because they made many false claims that  in the end expose Islam.

In this Article I will Delve into the objections Brown makes in regards to Paul's Message and Jesus's Message, Did Jesus teach the trinity and more. And I will show as I did before that Paul and Jesus message perfectly agree. The section of Brown's Article that I highlight will be the section I will be addressing, exposing and refuting.

Now Let us Begin Here is Brown's Article again :

Where is the “Christ” in “Christianity?”

Religious scholars have long attributed the tenets of Christian faith more to Paul’s teachings than to those of Jesus. But as much as I would like to jump into that subject, I think it best to back up and take a quick, speculative look at the Old Testament.
The Old Testament teaches that Jacob wrestled with God. In fact, the Old Testament records that Jacob not only wrestled with God, but that Jacob prevailed (Genesis 32:24-30). Now, bear in mind, we’re talking about a tiny blob of protoplasm wrestling the Creator of a universe 240,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 miles in diameter, containing over a billion galaxies of which ours—the Milky Way Galaxy—is just one (and a small one, at that), and prevailing? I’m sorry, but someone was a couple pages short of a codex when they scribed that passage. The point is, however, that this passage leaves us in a quandary. We either have to question the Jewish concept of God or accept their explanation that “God” does not mean “God” in the above verses, but rather it means either an angel or a man (which, in essence, means the Old Testament is not to be trusted). In fact, this textual difficulty has become so problematic that more recent Bibles have tried to cover it up by changing the translation from “God” to “man.” What they cannot change, however, is the foundational scripture from which the Jewish Bible is translated, and this continues to read “God.”
Unreliability is a recurring problem in the Old Testament, the most prominent example being the confusion between God and Satan! II Samuel 24:1 reads, “Again the anger of the LORD was aroused against Israel, and He moved David against them to say, ‘Go, number Israel and Judah.’” However, I Chronicles 21:1 states, “Now Satan stood up against Israel, and moved David to number Israel.”
Uhhh, which was it? The Lord, or Satan? Both verses describe the same event in history, but one speaks of God and the other of Satan. There is a slight (like, total) difference.
Christians would like to believe that the New Testament is free of such difficulties, but they are sadly deceived. In fact, there are so many contradictions that authors have devoted books to this subject. For example, Matthew 2:14 and Luke 2:39 differ over whether Jesus’ family fled to Egypt or Nazareth. Matthew 6:9-13 and Luke 11:2-4 differ over the wording of the “Lord’s Prayer.” Matthew 11:13-14, 17:11-13 and John 1:21 disagree over whether or not John the Baptist was Elijah.
Things get worse when we enter the arena of the alleged crucifixion: Who carried the cross—Simon (Luke 23:26, Matthew 27:32, Mark 15:21) or Jesus (John 19:17)? Was Jesus dressed in a scarlet robe (Matthew 27:28) or a purple robe (John 19:2)? Did the Roman soldiers put gall (Matthew 27:34) or myrrh (Mark 15:23) in his wine? Was Jesus crucified before the third hour (Mark 15:25) or after the sixth hour (John 19:14-15)? Did Jesus ascend the first day (Luke 23:43) or not (John 20:17)? Were Jesus’ last words, “Father, ‘into Your hands I commit my spirit’” (Luke 23:46), or were they “It is finished” (John 19:30)?
These are only a few of a long list of scriptural inconsistencies, and they underscore the difficulty in trusting the New Testament as scripture. Nonetheless, there are those who do trust their salvation to the New Testament, and it is these Christians who need to answer the question, “Where is the ‘Christ’ in ‘Christianity?’” This, in fact, is a supremely fair question. On one hand we have a religion named after Jesus Christ, but on the other hand the tenets of orthodox Christianity, which is to sayTrinitarian Christianity, contradict virtually everything he taught.
I know, I know—those of you who aren’t screaming “Heretic!” are gathering firewood and planting a stake. But wait. Put down the high-powered rifle and listen. Trinitarian Christianity claims to base its doctrines on a combination of Jesus’ and Paul’s teachings. The problem is, these teachings are anything but complementary. In fact, they contradict one another.
Take some examples: Jesus taught Old Testament Law; Paul negated it. Jesus preached orthodox Jewish creed; Paul preached mysteries of faith. Jesus spoke of accountability; Paul proposed justification by faith. Jesus described himself as an ethnic prophet; Paul defined him as a universal prophet.*
Jesus taught prayer to God, Paul set Jesus up as intercessor. Jesus taught divine unity, Pauline theologians constructed the Trinity.
For these reasons, many scholars consider Paul the main corrupter of Apostolic Christianity and Jesus’ teachings. Many early Christian sects held this view as well, including the second-century Christian sects known as “adoptionists”– “In particular, they considered Paul, one of the most prominent authors of our New Testament, to be an arch-heretic rather than an apostle.” (1)
Lehmann contributes,
What Paul proclaimed as ‘Christianity’ was sheer heresy which could not be based on the Jewish or Essene faith, or on the teaching of Rabbi Jesus. But, as Schonfield says, ‘The Pauline heresy became the foundation of Christian orthodoxy and the legitimate church was disowned as heretical.’ … Paul did something that Rabbi Jesus never did and refused to do. He extended God’s promise of salvation to the Gentiles; he abolished the law of Moses, and he prevented direct access to God by introducing an intermediary. (2)
Bart D. Ehrman, perhaps the most authoritative living scholar of textual criticism, comments,
Paul’s view was not universally accepted or, one might argue, even widely accepted …. Even more striking, Paul’s own letters indicate that there were outspoken, sincere, and active Christian leaders who vehemently disagreed with him on this score and considered Paul’s views to be a corruption of the true message of Christ …. One should always bear in mind that in this very letter of Galatians Paul indicates that he confronted Peter over just such issues (Gal. 2:11-14). He disagreed, that is, even with Jesus’ closest disciple on the matter. (3)
Commenting on the views of some early Christians in the Pseudo-Clementine literature, Ehrman wrote,
Paul has corrupted the true faith based on a brief vision, which he has doubtless misconstrued. Paul is thus the enemy of the apostles, not the chief of them. He is outside the true faith, a heretic to be banned, not an apostle to be followed. (4)
Others elevate Paul to sainthood. Joel Carmichael very clearly is not one of them:
We are a universe away from Jesus. If Jesus came “only to fulfill” the Law and the Prophets; If he thought that “not an iota, not a dot” would “pass from the Law,” that the cardinal commandment was “Hear, O Israel, the Lord Our God, the Lord is one,” and that “no one was good but God”….What would he have thought of Paul’s handiwork! Paul’s triumph meant the final obliteration of the historic Jesus; he comes to us embalmed in Christianity like a fly in amber. (5)
Dr. Johannes Weiss contributes,
Hence the faith in Christ as held by the primitive churches and by Paul was something new in comparison with the preaching of Jesus; it was a new type of religion. (6)
A new type of religion, indeed. And hence the question, “Where is the ‘Christ’ in ‘Christianity?’” If Christianity is the religion of Jesus Christ, where are the Old Testament laws and strict monotheism of the Rabbi Jesus’ Orthodox Judaism? Why does Christianity teach that Jesus is the son of God when Jesus called himself the “son of Man” eighty-eight times, and not once the “son of God?” Why does Christianity endorse confession to priests and prayers to saints, Mary and Jesus when Jesus taught his followers, “In this manner, therefore, pray: ‘Our Father …’” (Matthew 6:9)? And who appointed a pope? Certainly not Jesus. True, he may have called Peter the rock upon which he would build his church (Matthew 16:18-19). However, a scant five verses later, he called Peter “Satan” and “an offense.” And let us not forget that this “rock” thrice denied Jesus after Jesus’ arrest—poor testimony of Peter’s commitment to the new church.
Is it possible that Christians have been denying Jesus ever since? Transforming Jesus’ strict monotheism to the Pauline theologians’ Trinity, replacing Rabbi Jesus’ Old Testament law with Paul’s “justification by faith,” substituting the concept of Jesus having atoned for the sins of mankind for the direct accountability Jesus taught, discarding Jesus’ claim to humanity for Paul’s concept of Jesus having been divine, we have to question in exactly what manner Christianity respects the teachings of its prophet.
A parallel issue is to define which religion does respect Jesus’ teachings. So let’s see: Which religion honors Jesus Christ as a prophet but a man? Which religion adheres to strict monotheism, God’s laws, and the concept of direct accountability to God? Which religion denies intermediaries between man and God?
If you answered, “Islam,” you would be right. And in this manner, we find the teachings of Jesus Christ better exemplified in the religion of Islam than in Christianity. This suggestion, however, is not meant to be a conclusion, but rather an introduction. Those who find their interest peaked by the above discussion need to take the issue seriously, open their minds and then … read on!

Jesus Christ was one more prophet in the long line of prophets sent to the astray Israelites. As he so clearly affirmed, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” (Matthew 15:24) When Jesus sent the disciples out in the path of God, he instructed them, “Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans. But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” (Matthew 10:5-6) Throughout his ministry, Jesus was never recorded as having converted a Gentile, and in fact is recorded as having initially rebuked a Gentile for seeking his favors, likening her to a dog (Matthew 15:22-28 and Mark 7:25-30). Jesus was himself a Jew, his disciples were Jews, and both he and they directed their ministries to the Jews. One wonders what this means to us now, for most of those who have taken Jesus as their ‘personal savior’ are Gentiles, and not of the “lost sheep of the house of Israel” to whom he was sent.

So to begin Brown starts off by saying that the supposed "contradictions" that I already exposed and refuted are just a "small" portion of the total. Well to respond to Brown I would  say bring forth your arguments and your supposed 'contradictions" and by God's Help I will refute and expose them once again. He then goes on to say that the word "Christianity" was derived from the word Christ which is True because a Christian means one who follows Christ hence a follower of Christ. Brown then makes an astonishing claim says the "orthodox" tenets believe that the belief in trinity supposedly contradicts Jesus's Teaching.

Number 1 Brown again is being deceptive because he does not tell you who these supposed Christian people are who supposedly belief that Jesus taught a Message contrary to the Doctrine of the Trinity. And secondly I will expose his lies and prove that Jesus himself taught the trinity.

And here are some passages

Mark 1:9-11 9At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan.10Just as Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. 11And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.”

So Here we see right in beginning of Marks Gospel the Doctrine of the Trinity introduced. Jesus the Son is Baptized on Earth,The Holy Spirit descends upon Jesus in the form a Dove and Father testifies of his Son.
But Brown will say I want Jesus words OK Here they are:

John 14:16-21 15“If you love me, keep my commands. 16And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will bec in you. 18I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. 20On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. 21Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”

So Here Jesus says he will Ask the Father who God, to give the Disciples Another comforter who will be with them FOREVER. So this entity will be with the disciples forever so he has to be God. Jesus then says that world cannot accept him because it does not see him or know him so this entity is not physical because nobody can see him. Then he says but you (The disciples) Know for HE LIVES with you and will be in you. So according to Jesus this entity will be with the Disciples WHEREVER they are meaning he would have to Omnipresent. Jesus then continues and says he will not leave the disciples alone and that He himself will come to them and that the world will not See him anymore, the disciples will and because HE Jesus LIVES they ALSO LIVE. So Jesus here Just claimed deity because the reason why the disciples are living and breathing Is because of Jesus meaning Jesus is the SOURCE OF ALL LIFE. Jesus then goes on to say that  He himself is in the Father even tho He Just said that he and the Father are different person, How does this Work?? and goes on to say that the Disciples are in him. And then says the one who loves will be loved  By the Father. So notice the Perfect unity between Jesus and the Father those who love the-the Father himself will love and He too will show them love and SHOW himself to them so Jesus here claims omnipresence with Father.

So Jesus starts off by saying the Spirit of truth will be in the Disciples and guide their mission but he also claims that he himself is the source of Life and tells the Disciples that he and the Father are one in each other although they are different persons. In other words it's clear from text that the Spirit of Truth is God,The Father Is God and Jesus is God although through out the Gospels Jesus teaches that their is One God.

Here's a verse

Mark 12:29 "The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.

So it is clear that Jesus says there's only one God however in the Passage above Jesus himself claims to be God as well the Spirit and the Father.

So how do you reconcile this, very simply Brown Jesus taught the Trinity.

Here's more for confirmation John 14:26-27

26But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. 27Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Here Jesus makes it clear in the context that The spirit of Truth is The Holy Spirit who proceeds from the Father meaning they are identical in nature, And notice the Father is sending the Spirit in His name meaning Jesus has the right and authority as the Father does. And the Holy spirit will teach all the disciples everything Jesus taught them meaning the Holy spirit must be All Knowing to remind them of everything Jesus taught but he also must be All powerful and All Present to determine the success of the Disciples wherever they Go MEANING, the Holy Spirit is God, but Jesus also said that the Father will Send the Spirit in his name which would be blasphemy If Jesus was not God as well as the Father which is taught very clearly by Jesus that he is God.

However Jesus only said there's one God, so it's quite obviously Jesus clearly taught the Trinity. And quite honestly Brown's arguments are rather pathetic  and deceptive, so If Brown is willingly ignorant and never bothered to read the Bible I suggest that he does because when you do, you will come to the conclusion that Jesus taught the Trinity, However if he has then I pray that God open's his mind and cure him from this deception from Satan to try and mislead the Christians and cause them to abandon the Faith but that will not happen because we have the truth.

So much for Jesus not Teaching the Trinity. Now let's Continue

He then goes on to repeat the argument that I already have refuted in my Post that Paul is a supposed Heretic and his message supposedly contradict one Jesus's. Again simply False because Paul started this supposed "heretical" message as Brown put's it BECAUSE of Jesus, What Brown needs to understand is that you CAN'T SEPARATE Paul from Jesus because it was because of Jesus that Paul BEGIN'S his teachings, so Brown's Argument are again Pathetic.

Here some Verses again  Acts 9:1-19

Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord’s disciples. He went to the high priest and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any there who belonged to the Way, whether men or women, he might take them as prisoners to Jerusalem. As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?”
“Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked.
“I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied. “Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”
The men traveling with Saul stood there speechless; they heard the sound but did not see anyone. Saul got up from the ground, but when he opened his eyes he could see nothing. So they led him by the hand into Damascus. For three days he was blind, and did not eat or drink anything.
10 In Damascus there was a disciple named Ananias. The Lord called to him in a vision, “Ananias!”
“Yes, Lord,” he answered.
11 The Lord told him, “Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying. 12 In a vision he has seen a man named Ananias come and place his hands on him to restore his sight.”
13 “Lord,” Ananias answered, “I have heard many reports about this man and all the harm he has done to your holy people in Jerusalem. 14 And he has come here with authority from the chief priests to arrest all who call on your name.”
15 But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel. 16 I will show him how much he must suffer for my name.”
17 Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord—Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here—has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” 18 Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he could see again. He got up and was baptized,19 and after taking some food, he regained his strength.

So it is clear that Paul in this Chapter Hated Christians, hence Hated Jesus, so what made him become a follower of Christ, it's very simple Jesus appeared to him and from that moment on Paul became a Changed Man and started proclaiming the name of Jesus, so Brown point are rather silly.

Here are verses again since Brown doesn't seem to get it through his Brain:

Galatians 1:13-16 13 For you have heard of my previous way of life in Judaism, how intensely I persecuted the church of God and tried to destroy it. 14 I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my own age among my people and was extremely zealous for the traditions of my fathers. 15 But when God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me by his grace, was pleased 16 to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles, my immediate response was not to consult any human being.
Here Paul makes it Clear that he persecuted the Church and the followers of Jesus and then States that "God called me by my Grace, was Pleased to REVEAL his SON (JESUS) SO THAT I MIGHT PREACH AMONG THE GENTILES. So it is clear that Paul was called because of Jesus to the Ministry we see in the Epistles. This theory that Brown brings that Paul started Christianity is a garbage argument and pathetic because it's Clear Paul's ministry was contingent on Jesus appearing to him on the Road to Damascus that Changed his Life. And then Brown then goes off again that Jesus and Paul taught contrary messages here are the Passages again.
John 10:17-18 "Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. "No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father."

Col 1:21-22: “yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight

John 2:19-22 Jesus answered and said to them, "Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up." Then the Jews said, "It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will You raise it up in three days?" But He was speaking of the temple of His body. Therefore, when He had risen from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this to them; and they believed the Scripture and the word which Jesus had said.”

Phil 2:8: “And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.”

Luke 24:6-8 "He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, "saying, 'The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.'"And they remembered His words.

Rom 14:9: “For to this end Christ died and rose and lived again, that He might be Lord of both the dead and the living.”

I can give so much more but since I already made a more thorough response in Part one of my Refutation Series I will summarize here.

It is clear that both Jesus and Paul taught the Main Core Message that Jesus Died via Crucifixion for the Sins of the World was buried and Rose again on the Third Day, so again so much for Paul being a supposed "Heretic" when it was because of Jesus that Paul started his Ministry and it was because of Jesus that Paul taught HIS message to the People, that Jesus Died for our sins, was buried and rose from the Dead. And this perfectly agrees with Jesus teachings because Paul was guided by the Holy Spirit and worshiped the True God and Savior Jesus Christ. Unlike Brown and Paul Williams Jesus will forever live while Muhammad is in the Grave.

So much again Brown for Jesus and Paul teaching "contradictory" messages

Brown then say's "Take some examples: Jesus taught Old Testament Law; Paul negated it.
Jesus taught divine unity, Pauline theologians constructed the Trinity."
Again Brown is being Deceptive when He says that Jesus only Taught Old Testament Creed and that Paul Negated it.
Well Let's See Jesus says in Mark 12:29 "The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.
So it's clear there's only one Lord of God right.
But then we read in John 17:5 And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.
So Here Jesus says that he existed before creation even tho he said there's only one Lord.
But then he also says in Luke 24:29  I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high."
So Here Jesus is saying that one the Father has promised which earlier I showed you is the Holy Spirit will empower the disciples which is a Divine actions and therefore the Holy Spirit is God.
But I thought Jesus only taught 1 God, well he Did but he taught a Triune God
Now Let's see If Paul taught the Same message:  Corinthians 8:4
So then, about eating food sacrificed to idols: We know that "An idol is nothing at all in the world" and that "There is no God but one."
So Here Paul is saying that There's  only ONE GOD, which perfectly agrees with Jesus.
But In Titus 2:3 while we wait for the blessed hope--the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,
So Paul clearly claims that's there's only ONE GOD and yet He just said that Jesus is OUR GREAT GOD AND SAVIOR.
And another Passage
1 Corinthians  Therefore I want you to know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus be cursed," and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit.
So here Paul Calls The Holy Spirit "The Spirit of God" meaning that The Holy Spirit must be God because he is FROM GOD. He also says that to accept Christ you need the Holy Spirit meaning the Holy spirit is a necessity of Salvation because you need him to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
But I thought Paul Only said there's One God and Yet I just gave you passages where it's clear that Jesus and the Holy Spirit are God as well.
The answer is obvious Paul Believed in One God but a Triune God Just as Jesus taught that The God in the Old Testament is One God although Triune as I have Just shown you.
So Much for Brown's claim that Jesus and Paul supposedly taught different Message regarding the oneness of God.
Let us Continue
He then says Jesus speaks accountability that we are responsible for our Sin and that Paul only supposedly taught that We Justified just by faith.

let's again expose this Lie

Here some Verses:

Mark 10:17:31 17 As Jesus was starting out on his way to Jerusalem, a man came running up to him, knelt down, and asked, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”
18 “Why do you call me good?” Jesus asked. “Only God is truly good. 19 But to answer your question, you know the commandments: ‘You must not murder. You must not commit adultery. You must not steal. You must not testify falsely. You must not cheat anyone. Honor your father and mother.’[a]
20 “Teacher,” the man replied, “I’ve obeyed all these commandments since I was young.”
21 Looking at the man, Jesus felt genuine love for him. “There is still one thing you haven’t done,” he told him. “Go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

So In this verse Jesus sees a Rich Man and the Rich Man asked Jesus what I must I do to inherit eternal life and Jesus clearly tells him Go and Keep the commandments meaning Jesus also taught that you're responsible for the kind of life that you Live or in other words we are accountable for our sinful actions but let's Keep reading to See if Jesus also taught Justification by faith.

After the Rich man stated I have kept all the commandments or in others words lived a good Life Jesus still told him that he was still lacking some thing, Jesus tells him to sell his Possessions and FOLLOW HIM. Meaning that If you have Faith and Follow Jesus you will inherit eternal Life in other words you're justified in God sight Because of him because accountability isn't good enough we need Grace and Justification by Jesus Christ because he's perfect.

Here another passage John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Jesus here again says he's the only way to heaven meaning you must believe and follow him to be Justified in the eyes of God. Again another example of Justification by faith.

And one more verse

John 8:24 I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am he, you will indeed die in your sins."

Here Jesus is clearly saying that unless you DO NOT BELIEVE in HIM you WILL DIE IN YOUR SINS.

Meaning that Jesus is a necessity for your eternal salvation , and therefore you will be Justified in eyes of God because of what he is and what he did on the Cross.

So much for Browns claim that Jesus only taught accountability when in it is clear that he also taught Justification by Faith.

In Fact Jesus came so that We can be justified in the eyes of God by dying on the Cross for our sins, so I don't know what Game  Brown is trying to pull when honestly his arguments are quite deceptive.

Nice let's see If Paul taught Accountability as well even tho he clearly taught Justification by Faith.

Here are some verses

Ephesians 6:12
12 For jwe do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against kthe rulers, against the authorities, against lthe cosmic powers overmthis present darkness, against nthe spiritual forces of evil oin the heavenly places.

So in this passage Paul holds us Responsible against Satan and his Demons, our Job is to wrestle with the satanic forces in order to proclaim Christ and his word even tho we are already saved through Jesus Christ we still have a job to do on earth and God will hold us accountable because of this as well.

Here's another verse

Romans 14:13 13 Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister.

Here Paul says that we should not pass judgement on one another to confuse to make a stumbling block to a brother or sister. So it's clear that Paul is holding us Christians accountable for our Actions and what we do here on earth even tho we are Justified through faith in Christ and Saved.

And to put the Icing on the Cake for Mr Brown

Let's Read the verse before In Romans 14:12

12 So then, each of us will give an ACCOUNT of ourselves to God

So in this Passage it clear that we need to Give an ACCOUNT of ourselves to God in other words even tho we are saved and have accepted Christ we still have a role to play in our lives and have to make an account of it, or in other words we are still responsible to live out a Holy Life and proclaim Jesus Christ.

So it is clear that Jesus didn't Just teach Accountability but also taught Justification by Faith because I Just showed you passages where Good works were not good enough but you need to believe or have Faith in Jesus in order to be Justified in the eyes of God.

And In regards to Paul just Teaching Justification by faith It is clear that he also taught Accountability as well because I just showed passages where we are responsible for proclaiming Christ and holding ourselves accountable to God and that we an army of Christ raised up to expose the lies of Satan and his Hordes to advance the Kingdom of God.

Again So much for Paul and Jesus supposedly disagreeing with one
another.

Brown then says that Jesus taught that he was an ethnic Prophet but Paul taught that he was a universal prophet.

Let's again expose Brown and his deceptions:

Matthew 15:24 He (Jesus) answered, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel."

So Brown thinks that by bringing passages like these that Jesus was supposedly only sent to the Israelite but what he doesn't tell you is Jesus was First sent to them and AFTER he dies and Rises then his message goes out to the World, Hence he's a universal Prophet, just as Paul teaches.

And here is a verse : Matthew 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

So After Jesus has already fulfilled the Law and Died on the Cross NOW he tells his Disciples Go and Makes the Disciples of ALL NATIONS .

So it's very clear that Jesus was FIRST sent to the Jews but once he Died then to the whole world.

Here's another verse Luke 24:47 and that repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

And Paul clearly agrees with Jesus :

Acts 13:46-47 — Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly and said, "It was necessary that the word of God be spoken to you first; since you repudiate it and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we are turning to the Gentiles.
~"For so the Lord has commanded us, `I HAVE PLACED YOU AS A LIGHT FOR THE GENTILES, THAT YOU MAY BRING SALVATION TO THE END OF THE EARTH."'

So Here Paul and Barnubus state that the Lord has Placed them among the Gentiles THAT YOU MAY BRING SALVATION TO THE END OF THE EARTH.

And here is more verses Romans 10:12  For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same {Lord} is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him;

Here Paul claims that there's no distinction between Jew and Gentile For the same Lord is Lord FOR ALL. Couldn't be more clear that Paul agreed and taught the same Message as Jesus.

So much for Brown's argument that Jesus was Just an ethnic prophet and contradicts Paul who clearly agrees with Jesus that his message is for the whole world.

He then goes to say that Jesus taught Prayer to God and that Paul taught intercession of Christ.

First Jesus taught Prayer to God but that;s not all he taught, you see how deceptive Brown is because it is clear that Jesus also taught intercessory and therefore agreeing with Paul once again.

Here is a Passage John 14:6
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Here Jesus claims he is the path to God the Father in other words he is interceding on our behalf behalf.

Another passage John 11:25

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die;

Here Jesus claims to be the Resurrection and Life and that the one who believes in him will never die spiritually, meaning he is our intercessor.

Here;s more John 10:9
I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture.

Here again Jesus says that he is the Gateway to heaven meaning He represents us to the Father and we are Saved because of him.

Here is a passage from Paul about intercession and lest's see if it supposedly disagrees.

Roman 8:45 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died--more than that, who was raised to life--is at the right hand of God and is also INTERCEDING for us.

So it is clear that Paul and Jesus taught the Same message Jesus claims he will intercede for us and Paul also says he will intercede for us.

He then goes on a repeated argument about Jesus teaching Divine unity and Paul teaching the Trinity but I have already showed you earlier in this post that's not the Case.

Please scroll up If you missed anything in regards to the Trinity.

So in conclusion of This Particular blog it is clear once again that Browns arguments are pathetic and can't stand once we examine them thoroughly  And I'm trying my best to show you guys that If you Read the Bible, no one can refute it.

And to Paul Williams I hope you read this and learn to stop being so inconsistent and end up refuting yourself and your religion. I hope that you take note of your hypocrisy and come back to Christ.

I will be posting Refutation to Brown Article Where is the "Christ" in Christianity Part 4

See you again

God Bless
