Abbas quoted this biblical passage and assumes that the Biblical verse supposedly allows rape. I am going to expose this lie and do my best to refute his claims and in doing so, I will show why Muslims like Abbas will not hesitate to lie and distort our scriptures.
First off this verse talks about the enemies of God, people that went against God and his people namely the Israelite s. And when God has won the battle or in other words defeated his enemies. God also says that if you see a women among the people who were defeated or in other words taken captive. You may take her home IF you wish to have her as a wife. So notice the contingency God is saying that those whom you WANT as a wife you may take them home, it says nothing about Booty or rape this is very clear. Now let's continue In order for that girl to go to your house you have to shave her hair and give her the opportunity to mourn for her loved ones namely her father and mother for A MONTH. Show me a passage like this in Islam after Muhammad took women as captives you will not find it. And AFTER she has mourned her loved ones you may have relations AND you shall be her Husband. So notice having relations with this women can only happen after she mourned her parents for a Month and having relations with her is based on you marrying her, it says nothing about rape. Let's continue God then says that If you lose liking of her you shall give her her FREEDOM, IF SHE WISHES IT BUT YOU SHALL NOT SELL HER OR ENSLAVE HER. So basically what God is saying is that If you no longer want her as your wife, you can give her- her freedom or in other words let her go If she WISHES, so she to has a free will to either agree or disagree ON YOUR INTENTIONS, show me a verse like this anywhere in the Koran.
So after going through these Passages it clear that the Bible does not condone Rape as the Koran clearly does.
This is Why Muslims like Abbas from Paul Williams blog resort to deceptive tactics and Lies to supposedly refute our Christian Beliefs and yet after examining his claims about the Koran and the Bible both have been proven to be false.
